Einige Fragen zu Parallels

<div class="bbWrapper">Da ich auch vor der Entscheidung stehe mir einen neuen Mac anzuschaffen, will ich auch meine VMs mit nehmen.<br /> <br /> Wann wird denn die neue M1 Version von Parallels erscheinen worauf OS für Intel laufen?<br /> Wird dann auch der Produktkey (Home-User), der jetzt günstig zu haben wäre, gelten?<br /> <br /> Wie sieht es bei Parallels generell mit OS außerhalb von Windows aus - wie Linux, FreeBSD, OpenIndiana (OpenSolaris), etc.?<br /> Auf VMware Fusion als auch VirtualBox liefen diese OS ohne Probleme.<br /> <br /> Um den Umstieg zu erleichtern und zu testen - welche Parallels Version läuft noch auf ElCapitan 10.11.6?<br /> Wo bekommt man diese und gilt da auch der neu aktuelle Produktkey?<br /> <br /> Wie sieht es bei Parallels mit der Übernahme bestehender VMs von VirtualBox aus?<br /> <br /> PS: Weder VirtualVBox noch VMware Fusion planen nach meinen Erkundigungen in nächster Zeit eine M1 Version herauszubringen auf der OS für Intel laufen werden.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Was willst da mitnehmen - da gibt es aktuell nichts zum mitnehmen.<br /> <br /> Windows x86 kann nicht als VM unter ARM macOS laufen - wenn dann wird es emuliert. <br /> <br /> Allerdings haben alle Parteien sich mehr oder weniger angenähert - WENN - nur eine Windows ARM Virtualisierung zu machen - WENN.....<br /> <br /> Apple hat MS zu verstehen gegeben dass sie gegen Windows ARM nicht dagegen hätten. Parallels experimentiert mit Windows ARM auf dem Mac und Microsoft hüllt sich dazu bisher in schweigen.<br /> <br /> Und Bootcamp für x86 Windows ist laut Apple definitiv tot - wie soll es auch nativ auf ARM gehen.<br /> <br /> —— <br /> <br /> Daher. Für Windows x86 als VM gibt es gar keine Pläne. Von niemanden. Wenn - und das wird aktuell ja besprochen - wird es auf ein Windows ARM auf macOS ARM heraus laufen. <br /> <br /> Aber da hast aktuell das Problem - kaum Windows ARM Software. Daher ist selbst die Windows ARM Geschichte noch nicht alles sicher....<br /> <br /> Aber unter einen ARM Mac kannst Deine Windows x86 VMs knicken. Das wird nix mehr. <br /> <br /> Anders schaut es bei Linux aus. Das läuft nativ auf ARM CPUs und ist kein Problem mit VMs.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Aber dieses ganze Thema besprechen wir doch bereits seit Tagen in zig Threads hier in Forum. Ich kann mir aber gut vorstellen, dass entweder beide oder einer von beiden - VMWare / VirtualBox - die Arbeit einstellen. Weil halt eben Windows x86 sich nicht virtualisieren lässt und mit Windows ARM noch nicht sicher ist - wie der Weg weiter geht. <br /> <br /> Ob sich da beim kostenlosen Virtual Box sich jemand findet der das stemmen will?! Und bei VMWare war Mac Fusion ja eher ein Nischenprodukt - VMWare hat ganz andere Bereiche und Pfründe, als ob man da unbedingt jetzt investieren müsste. <br /> <br /> Eher wird sich bei Parallels was tun. Parallels unter Mac war / ist deren Rennpferd - wenn das weg bricht dürften bei denen die Lichter ausgehen.</div>
