<div class="bbWrapper">Frage mich gerade, wie Apple das mit den IR-Sensoren für Face ID lösen will mit dem Punchhole. Und gab es nicht schon Gerüchte, dass eine der nächsten iPhone-Generationen ein rückseitiges AOD erhalten soll? <br /> <br /> Also auf Lightning könnte Apple durchaus auch mal verzichten. Dann sollten sie aber gar keine elektromechanische Buchse mehr verwenden. So gibt's diesbezüglich für die Zukunft wenigstens keine Kompatibilitätsprobleme und Diskussionen mehr.</div>

Eine elektromechanische Schnittstelle nimmt unnötigen Platz weg und ist anfällig gegenüber Verschmutzungen bzw. macht das Gerät weniger resistent gegenüber dem Eindringen von Fluiden. Ich lade meine iPhones schon seit dem Erscheinen des iPhone X zu 90 % induktiv. Daten habe ich schon Ewigkeiten nicht mehr per Kabel ausgetauscht. Auch OS- und App-Updates laufen bei mir ausschließlich OTA. Vom Verschleiß der Kabel ganz zu schweigen.</div>

Massiv ineffizient, deutlich höhere Wäremeentwicklung, weniger Leistung, schlecht für den Akku.<br /> <br /> USB-C wäre schon lange angemessen gewesen, Apple halt. Am besten lädt man sein iPhone nur über ein 5W Ladegerät am Kabel. Mit Abstand am schonensten.</div>

In der Regel passiert das aber insbesondere mit MagSafe nicht.<br /> <br /> Es ist auch nicht massiv ineffizient. Ja, es ist ineffizienter als kabelgebundenes Laden, aber wenn man mal überlegt, wieviele sinnlose Daten wir Menschen über unsere mobilen Gadgets verbreiten, dann frisst das ungleich mehr Energie, auf die man verzichten könnte.
