Wie geplant eröffnete Apple jetzt seinen neuen “App Accelerator” in Bangalore, Indien. Mit der neuen Einrichtung möchte Apple vor allem die Möglichkeit nutzen an Entwickler in Indien heranzutreten und die Appentwicklung unter iOS in diesem Raum weiter fördern.
In dem neuen Center möchte Apple Entwickler supporten und schulen. Zudem soll es One-To-One App Reviews geben. Der Konzern selbst nennt die Einrichtung als die erste seiner Art. Die Pläne zur Eröffnung einer derartigen Einrichtung gab Tim Cook im Mai letzten Jahres bekannt, während er auf Besuch in Indien war. Dort traf er den Premierminister Narendra Modi.
“We are impressed by the great entrepreneurial spirit in India, and are excited to provide a platform for these developers to share their innovations with customers around the world,” said Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing at Apple.
“In just the first few weeks, we’ve already seen some incredible developers here at the App Accelerator Bengaluru, including Practo and Reliance Games, create innovative apps that can meet the needs of customers in India and around the world.”
